A very cool interview!! I really enjoyed the conversation. You can tell David was having fun just figuring things out and getting it right. The motivation was never that this was “useful” for curing diseases (although it will certainly do that eventually), the driving force is not “translational”, its just pure curiosity about how cells really work…
